The Velocity Aeroheat rim is lightweight and strong. It is perfect for fast high-speed tires.

From our Race review: "One of the most striking features of this trike are the hand-built Velocity Aeroheat wheels. They are black with black spokes and are perfect for handling the 100psi Schwalbe Marathon tires. While the standard aluminum WizWheelz wheels will accommodate high-pressure tires, I've always been afraid of bending the wheel with the tires at full pressure. The Velocity wheels are made to withstand much stronger forces. While riding the trike you can feel the difference when taking really hard corners. I found there to be no flex in the wheel even when taking extreme high-speed turns on two wheels."

Do the brake rotor mount directly to the wheels on the front or is there a adapter of some sort in there? How are these trike setup as far as the disc brake on the front end goes?

The rotor mounts directly to the hub.

what type of hubs do the velocity aeroheats use?

They use a custom hub made by Velocity. The hub uses a 20mm axle and is compatible with the TerraTrike system.

We can build you a set of velocity AeroHeats with Catrike hubs if you'd like. These are specifically for the TerraTrikes.

2.35 Big Apples are the largest width that we regularly mount to these rims.
