Posted by Jimmy 02/19/2009 06:55:37 AM Because they are. The non-disc version has a slightly wider track to match the front wheels. On our disc and gas versions we bring the wheels in to increase the strength. Are the rear brakes in addition to the front brakes or instead of the front brakes? How do the brake levers and cables change? Posted by 360Lb triker 04/09/2009 07:10:31 AM They are in addition to the front brakes. The operation is such that the left brake lever fontrols the rear brakes and the right lever controls the front. Will this bolt onto a delta recumbent? Posted by Anonymous 05/11/2009 08:35:06 PM Deltas already have two wheels in the back, so I'm not sure what you mean. It could bolt on to a standard recumbent and turn it into a delta. Specific models would probably work better than others. Is the conversion kit easily reversible ? Posted by Chris 07/12/2009 09:46:11 AM Yes, we have made this kit so that everything bolts on. Just curious, will the quad kit fit and function on the tandem? Posted by LLCoolBeans 07/15/2009 08:36:11 AM The Quad kit will work on the tandem, but a custom mid-drive unit would be needed to accomosate the Tandem's larger frame. I want a trike Anthrotech http://www.anthrotech.de/ converted to a quad. Can I use the Quad Conversion Kit for Terra Trikes at Anthrotech grow? Posted by Gerhard Naujok Germany 07/16/2009 01:46:10 PM The actual quad conversion kit should fit, but you may have to come up with your own mid drive. Ok, so would the same be true for the Sport aluminum frame? Or you feel the aluminum frame is not strong enough even for a non-power assist application? Posted by LLCoolBeans 07/20/2009 01:11:29 PM We don't recommend the Quad conversion for the aluminum frame because it does not flex like the chromoly trike. Are the wheels stock WizWheelz rear wheels? Can the Velocity hand-built rear wheels be used with the quad kit? Posted by LLCoolBeans 07/29/2009 08:35:38 AM No. The wheels in the rear are a similar rim built on a custom hub. The Velocity can be used only on the front, not on the rear. Could I use the quad rear end kit to replace my Sun 3x one wheel drive delta? Posted by Bear 08/10/2009 05:13:41 PM It would not be a direct replacement. I have a Sun x3 recumbent delta trike. It has single wheel drive and one disc brake in the back. Could I use your quad kit with disc option to turn my delta into a two wheel drive trike? Thanks Posted by Bear 08/11/2009 09:34:13 AM Our quad kit won't just bolt on, but give us a call and we can sell you just the axle setup which will bot on perfectly. We just did one in house and it is great! In regards to the Sun X3 delta trike, are you removing the rear set up or exactly how is this accomplished. This may be the answer I have been looking for! Posted by Drooper 08/18/2009 09:38:28 PM We are working on a couple X3 kits now that will work around the existing rear end. How is the testing going on the Sun x3? Posted by Bear 08/21/2009 04:52:24 AM Stay tuned! We'll have some new things on the blog soon. Is the size of the wheels crucial or can two 26" be accommodated? Posted by Kevin 09/08/2009 04:43:50 AM We have been building quite a lot of custom quads lately with 24-inch rear wheels running Big Apples. On the front, anything bigger than the stock 20s will kill the turn radius.
