SL150 Steady Light Compact
Fits most bicycles without roller or disc brakes. Bicycles with these types of brakes should use Reelight “Extended” products. Description: One set Reelight SL150 front and rear lights including four magnets and two mounting brackets.
Share your comments below: What is the difference between the SL150 and SL120? Both have the same descriptions. Thanks! Posted by Gary 09/22/2008 08:30:58 PM The description notes that these lights fit most bikes "without roller or disc brakes" and otherwise to use "Extended" products. Since all TerraTrikes have disc brakes, can we assume that these are the Extended products, or is there a separate attachment that we need to buy in addition to these lights? They look like a great product and I can't wait to get a set! Posted by zwb 10/11/2008 05:11:12 AM From the Reelight web page (www.relight.com), it looks like the SL120 blinks, while the SL150 is a steady light. I got that from the FAQ page under "Ask Reelight" Also from the Reelight web page, the "compact" and "extended" versions appear to be different kits. I'd pick up the phone and call before ordering to make sure you get the right thing. Posted by Peter 11/08/2008 05:40:30 AM The SL120 is the strobing version and the SL150 is the "steady". We offer both versions. These look interesting - I ride a GS GT5 and the safty of having day-time-running lites would cut down on my battery use big time! But how bright are these? I'm not sure about mounting them on the out-side, but maybe with a simple modification I could get them on the inner side of the wheel - I do have dics!?!? Posted by Spinner 12/21/2008 11:08:17 AM They are good as daylight running lights and to give some extra illumination. For night-time riding I would recommend using them in combination with a dedicated battery-powered light. I have a set of the compacts. These will not fit a deep dished back wheel. My bike has 6 gears on the rear. The compact bracket is too short to get the magnet as close as it needs to be to the light without bending it. The extended bracket fits well. I tried the compacts on two old bikes with 5 gears, worked fine. Yes, the SL120s blink, have a capacitor, the SL150s are steady. So, if you have a mountain bike, or a hybrid (like I do) get the extended set. Posted by mr 12/21/2008 10:10:34 PM Yes, we have had issues mounting them on the rear of most of the trikes. For that reason we recommend putting them on the front wheels. I just noticed that the picture showing the back/red light is mounted to the inside of the fork? Is this where it goes? I mounted mine to the outside, front and back. forgot to add. If they fit your bike they are very nice to have. They are bright and it is nice that they are always on. It is kind of strange to put the bike up and see the lights still blinking away. Posted by mR 12/21/2008 10:20:46 PM It souldn't really matter.
