Park PFP-3 Home Mechanic Floor Pump
Durable steel barrel Composite head fits Presta and Schrader valves Steel handle Industrial quality pressure gauge is mid-mounted for easy reading High pressure hose Stable three-point composite base Maximum pressure: 160 psi Fits both Schrader/American type and Presta/French type valves. Using the PFP-3 To use the PFP-3, begin by rotating the wheel so the inner tube valve is at either the 6:00 o'clock or 12:00 position. Make sure the pump head lever in the off or unlocked postion. The lever should be parallel with the pump hose. Select the correct hole in the pump head. The larger hole is for the Schrader valves, and the smaller hole is for presta valves. Remove the valve cap of the inner tube. Engage pump head onto valve. A plunger inside the pump head will depress the valve core stem of the Schrader valve. Pull the lever until it locks. It will now be 90-degrees from the hose. Pump handle to fill tire with air. After pumping, release head by pulling handle until it is parallel with hose. With presta valves, loosen the locknut on the valve stem. Gently tap the valve core to break any tight seal in the valve. Place the pump head on the valve a small about, covering only a few threads. Pull the lever until it locks. It will now be 90-degrees from the hose. Work the handle to fill the tire with air. The pressure in the pump must exceed the pressure in the tire before the presta valve will release and allow air inside. After pumping the tire, pull the lever and release the head from the valve. Any air noise will be air escaping from the pump, not the tire.
