Terratrike Rambler Extreme Edition

Get your own TerraTrike Rambler IGH

Besides the awesome red paint job, this Terratrike Rambler features custom Velocity Aeroheat wheels, and a Shimano Alfine IGH in the rear with the new Metropolis Patterson Drive in the front.

This trike is in stock and on sale for $2600

The rear wheel of this Rambler sports a Shimano Alfine 8-speed IGH laced to a custom Velocity Aeroheat wheel. We powder coated both the frame and rim with Tiger's Bengal Red color.

The Shimano Alfine transmission has been our most popular hub since it came out. It shifts easily under load, has a good range, and is nearly maintenance free.

While the tensioner is not necessary on the Rambler, we mounted it to make boom adjustments easy. The tensioner allows for about 6 inches of boom movement without needing to adjust the chain.

The Rambler chainline is simple with only one idler on the return side to keep the chain from sagging. The power side of the chain is straight only using the tubing to protect the paint and your pant leg.

On the front this trike is equipped with the Metropolis Patterson drive. This drive features planetary gears with a hand-shiftable two-speed action with a single chainring.

The Patterson drive has a 28T chainring, which provides a 45T equivalent in its overdrive mode. It is compatible with most shifters.

The Rambler has an adjustable aluminum boom that is secured with the two bolts shown here.

On the front we laced some custom Velocity AeroHeat wheels.

A shorty fender balances out the large 26-inch rear wheel. Stylish, and it will keep the water off the back of your head.
