The Roadbike Loop from South Salt Lake

There's nothing that fosters a sense of freedom and adventure like the open road, especially when you're venturing down it on a recumbent trike. Nestled in the heart of South Salt Lake is a gem known to many trikers the 'Roadbike loop from South Salt Lake.'

This route is an easy, well-paved ride that welcomes cyclists of all fitness levels. Measuring a distance of 9.85 miles, riders can complete the loop in less than an hour, making it a perfect choice for a leisurely morning or afternoon ride.

It's more than just the manageable elevation gain and loss of 550 feet that qualifies the loop as one of the must-try triking routes. The journey covers a mix of paths, cycleways, streets, roads, and state roads, offering variety and a chance to weave your way through the urban heart of South Salt Lake.

More than the distance you cover, it's the experiences along the ride that strike a chord with most riders. Big Cottonwood Canyon Trail

A beautiful trail with water flowing next to you as you ride. This trail is located in Salt Lake City and it's considered an easy route by many people. It's 1.8 miles and it takes an average of 44 minutes to complete.

On this trail you'll see a variety of individuals from road bikers, runners, or people on a casual walk so you'd like to encounter others while riding. There's also a variety of birds, snails, slugs, and many other kinds of wildlife on this trail.

The best time to visit this trail is between February and November. We recommend visiting in late spring to early summer. This trail is tons of fun for the whole family and we recommend checking it out.

Jordan River Parkway Trail

A wonderful 6.6 mile out and back trail that is near Salt Lake City, Utah. This trail is generally thought to be a rather easy route that can be enjoyed by bike and trike riders of all different levels. On average you can expect this trail to take you around 1 hour and 57 minutes.

This trail is pretty popular and is usually filled with cyclists, runners, and people on a casual walk, but if you visit in the quieter times of the day there are plenty of moments to enjoy some solitude.

This trail is open throughout the whole year and makes for a beautiful trail to explore during any hour of the day. Don't worry you don't have to leave your furry friends at home, but the trail does ask that you keep them on a leash while on the trail.

This trail is paved and is wheelchair and accessibility aid accessible. If you have little ones with you this trail is also accessible for a stroller.

Parleys S-Line Trail

This 3.4 mile trail is perfect for your next outdoor adventure. Located near Salt Lake City, Utah this trail is generally seen as easy and takes around 1 hour and 5 minutes to complete. This trail is perfect for riders at a variety of levels who want to get out and ride.

This trail is usually pretty busy and is filled with people from bikers, runners, and people on casual walks. It's recommended that you visit this trail between March and October.

This trail is generally thought to be an urban trail and it has a small bit of art in the sugar house and south salt lake area. This unique trail is sure to be one to remember.

9 Line Trail

This 3.1 mile trail is located near Salt Lake City, Utah. It's thought to be a generally easy trail and it takes an average of 54 minutes to complete. This trail is very popular in the birding community as there are many different types of birds in the area. It's also popular with road bikers and runners.

The trail is open all year long and makes for a beautiful trail to explore. Furry friends are welcomed but they must be on a leash. The trail is also paved so it is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.

There is no designated parking for this trail so we recommend planning ahead with where you would like to park.

City Creek Park to Memory Grove Trail

This trail is a 3 mile loop trail located in City Creek Park near Salt Lake City, Utah. This is generally thought to be an easy trail and takes an average of 1 hour and 14 minutes to complete. This trail is open year round and dogs are allowed but they must be kept on a leash.

This trail makes for a fun walk along with a great bike or trike ride. It goes near running water and it is filled with awesome views.
