We took the TerraTrike Edge and made some crazy modifications. This Edge features the Schlumpf High Speed Drive with a 56T chainring, a high performance idler kit, a composite racing seat, and the Rohloff 14-speed hub transmission.
The Schlumpf is setup with a 56T chainring producing a 146T virtual chainring in overdrive. We won't run out of gears on this one.
In order to lay the seat back as far as it could go we cut about 4 inches off the seat posts. The composite seat rests about 1 inch above the rear wheel, to achieve a lower and more stable seat angle.
Having the 14-speed Rohloff hub in the back means your gears are comfortably spaced apart.
The end result is a little heavier than stock, but with much higher gearing, lower center of gravity, and overall better performance.

I just curious, but do you have a modification kit that allows one to put a larger wheel on the back of the TerraTrike Edge CF? Posted by Anonymous

I would not recommend a larger wheel on the Edge because of the tortional forces. A modified triangulated rear end would be needed. Posted by Ashley
