Watch the video to see it in action. Your blog entry from 10/26/2009 says that the ETX is foldable. What does it look like folded? Could you include a picture of it folded? And what are its dimensions when folded? How long does it take to fold / restore? Posted by Nick 12/19/2009 10:35:13 AM We'll have to get a picture up. There are two bolts that can be removed from the front mast and then the mast folds down. Also, should the rider treat this like a bike and drive it in traffic? Or should the rider stay on the sidewalk when possible? Can you ride this thing absolutely straight? Or is there a little swerve with each step? Posted by Nick 12/19/2009 10:37:26 AM I would not recommend riding it on the sidewalk. There is definitely a learning curve, but you can get going fast without swerving. What size riders will this fit? I'm 70 inches and wife is 60" height. Are there any adjustment for rider size? My wife and I already have catrikes (pocket and expedition), but are always looking for new ways to get cardio training. Posted by Jon 02/08/2010 01:33:22 AM It will fit a very wide range of riders. The handlebars can be moved vertically to adjust for heights. Are the tires suitable for riding on gravel, or only on pavement? Posted by underheight 04/14/2010 03:22:43 AM While equipped with road tires, they certainly could handle some gravel. i have had 2 knee replacements on the left leg and resultant problem of not being able to bend my leg more than 87 degrees, consequently can't ride a bike anymore. would you recommend this for someone like me? Posted by missbiking! 04/18/2010 12:48:02 PM I would recommend consulting with your Dr. first. We have many steep hills in our neighborhood streets to get home. Will I be able to use it going uphill without extreme effort? Are there gears which help? Posted by Steady Eddie 07/10/2010 04:13:21 PM The ETX has 8 speeds and can climb very well. Is it a workout? Sure! But, that's the point isn't it? Greetings, In your opinion, is this a well built unit? Does the unit collapse easily to fit in the back of a truck with a standard cap? Posted by Cochese 07/11/2010 07:04:16 AM The Streetstrider is extremely well built. The unit can fold down in about 5-10 minutes and can easily fit in the back of your truck with the cap down. I recently had my right ankle fused...I am able to ride a traditional bike fine. Have you heard of anyone with a fused ankle using the streestrider? Posted by JonB 07/27/2010 12:42:36 PM I would not recommend the Streetstrider for anyone with a fused ankle as the coordination required to use the ETX could result in falling and breaking bones. How difficult is it to assemble? Posted by jtucson 12/16/2011 07:12:10 PM The Streetstrider is very easy to assemble and includes the necessary tools. |
