Call for availability
The most popular trike in the fleet of recumbents by Sidewinder Cycle is the SportZ.
Share your comments below: I like tis trike. Sounds like the one I need :-) What is the (avg) Ground Clearance??? I have many speed bumps and other obstacles to clear. Please advise. Thanks. Posted by BC 03/21/2010 01:59:04 AM Besides the derailleur which hangs 2-3 inches from the ground, the ground clearance is very good. I'd say in the 8-10 inch range. Is there any other means of storage. For example a place for a backpack or other type of bags? Posted by NDB 03/28/2010 04:18:55 AM There is an underseat cargo available. Re storage: I just strapped a standard backpack to the tubes behind the seat and it's been working fine for me. My Sidewinder has done what I wanted it to: it's made riding fun again, so I really want to get out there on the bike path. Usually I end up riding farther than I'd originally planned, which says a lot. Posted by SEM 04/29/2010 03:58:31 PM What tires and tire pressure are used on this trike? Posted by GCO 07/02/2010 05:26:20 PM They are 100psi Odysee tires. Nice trike! Could I get the one piece polymer wheels instead of the spoke, on this model? Am I correct in assuming that one piece wheels hold their alignment indefinitely? Are the bearing assemblies in the polymer wheels on par with the spoke wheels offered? If not, could they be upgraded? Lastly, if I were to carry a complete, pressurized extra wheel, could it be made to quickly swap out, if any of the wheels went flat? Seems like the front, side mount is different from the back fork mount. Posted by zoktoberfest 09/25/2010 01:37:00 PM The spoked wheels are actually the stronger of the wheels. The rear wheel is different than the fronts. |
