The HP Velotechnik Scorpion trike features rear suspension, three different seat options, and many other possiblities for customization for your riding needs.

This trike is great for riders who want the smooth ride that only a suspension can give you, while still keeping the price low enough to make it affordable.

The main feature of this trike is the rear suspension. You can choose between two different types of rear shock units: the stock DNM DV-22, and the optional DT Swiss XM180 air shock. The DNM DV-22 has the ability to adjust the preload by hand turning the knurled knob. This tightens the spring to adjust the suspension to different loads. The optional DT Swiss XM180 air shock unit has external damping adjustment, allowing you to adjust the release rate for different road conditions.

The rear suspension does not interfere with the controllability of the trike or make it so you can't accelerate without loss of energy or steering precision.

The Scorpion also has three different seat types available: the BodyLink, the ErgoMesh, and the ErgoMesh HS.

The BodyLink features adjustability in the seat base angle, seat back angle and seat length. The lower seat pan gives some side support, while the upper seat gives enough room so that you can lean into curves for maximum cornering speed.

The ErgoMesh comes with an ergonomic side cushioning that provides extra side support when cornering, and a practical seat pocket integrated into the back rest of the seat. This ErgoMesh seat will give you a 3 cm higher seat hight compared to the BodyLink seat; with the extra high ErgoMesh HS seat your seat will be 11 cm higher. A higher seat position offers a better view in traffic and you can get easlily on and off your trike, however, with a higher seat your trike could tip over sooner when riding fast in narrow corners.
