ICE Vortex 2 - 700c Wheel

Get your own

The 2010 Vortex, version 2 with a 700c rear wheel is the ultimate speed machine!! It comes with SRAM X.0 Components, BB7 Brakes, and the best part? It is a folding trike!

Version 2
The Vortex Version 2 is a folding trike with a 700c rear wheel and comes with great components.

Brakes
The Vortex Version 2 comes with Avid BB7 disc brakes and Avid Speed Dial 7 brake levers for optimal braking power and minimal maitenance.

Cassette
The rear cassette is a SRAM PG 990 11-32 9 speed cassette, which is a light-weight cassette, but still sturdy with a great gear range.

Drive Train
The rear derailleur on the Vortex 2-700c is a SRAM X.0 derailleur which is a superior light weight derailleur, which also matches the trike quite nicely! The shifters on the trike are SRAM X.9 grip shifts which make shifting a breeze.

Rear Wheel
ICE went all the way out on this trike and even made the quick release match!

Wheels
The wheels on the Vortex are Alex Aero Anodised Black, and are laced up with black spokes and red nipples making this trike look ultra sleek!

Seat
Even the seat is light weight on this trike! This hard-shell seat is make out of carbon fiber making it strong and light weight.

I think the fatso Kojaks detract from the sleek look of the trike. Too bad they didn't send it with Duranos

Kojaks are the new thing. I agree though, the Duranos are probably a more suitable tire.

Are the "lovehandles" on this carbon fibre seat still the heavy aluminum ones or are they a new carbon fibre version?

They still have aluminum arms, but these are a new, improved, lighter version.

Any pictures of the trike folded up?

We'll have to get those on the next one.

I like the fat tires. Like the old Comp Pools, maybe the Kojaks have less rolling resistance than the Duranos? Fat tires make your trike look like this..... which I think is very nice:
