Robert's 8-speed Quad

Get your own Utah Trikes Quad
I thought I'd post this because this Quad configuration is the most common. This is also an example of our standardized Quad model with interchangeable rear parts.

Alfine Mid-Drive
Here you can see the Shimano Alfine mid-drive transmission. It gives super smooth shifting and 8 gears with a 300% gear range. The Alfine is mounted to the TerraTrike's wheel stays with our custom mounts.

Rear View
Here's a rear view without the basket. I really like the basket, but the guys here don't think it's "sporty" enough. C'mon, how else am I going to carry all my stuff?

Here is the main drive chain going from the Alfine to our positraction axle. The chain is tensioned by sliding the mid drive forward.

Cargo Machine
Here's the quad with its basket. Ready to carry loads. The basket is easily removeable and can be replaced with a flatbed or whatever you want.

You can see the Nexus shifter on the right and the Protege computer on the left. The TerraTrike steering is very smooth and makes for a real nice ride.

Protege Computer
We like the Planet Bike Protege computers. We mount the sensor magnet to the front wheel and the computer on the grip for easy access.

The Quad pictured here comes features the Alfine mid-drive, Marathon Plus tires and the Protege computer. All of those are extra features.
