This QNT is a great trike for touring, commuting and just riding around!
The steering design of the QNT has just the right amount of pull in the fast corners and yet always feels like the luxury sport ride that it is.
The Trice rack for the suspension models is quite something. It attaches to the frame without any interference to the suspension.
You can see the Schlumpf High Speed Drive as well as the custom Trice front light mount.
The Trice 20-inch wheel has a custom hub with a modified 34-9T Capreo cassette. This allows for a higher top end but still keeps the super low gearing.
The 20-inch Trice rides smoother than most trikes because of its unique suspension design. Here you can see the red elastomer used to provide the suspension dampening. The effect is adjustable by moving the elastomer up or down.
The ICE QNT uses a variety of materials including a braze-welded 4130 chromoly steel main cruciform section.
The stock chain management of the ICE is comprised of a single idler and chain tubing.
Share your comments below: Beauty set-up, but the description 'braze-welded'? No such thing, it's either brazed, OR welded. Two different methods of bonding metal... Posted by Donal 03/20/2010 12:38:46 AM Uh, you sure about that? The AWS lists braze welding as a type of welding. Yes, most people refer to it as simply "brazing" though. I don't suppose you sell just the cruciform and seat of the Trice? I have a spare boom, rear suspension and rear wheel. If i could get the cruciform and seat, hard or mesh, I'd be set to put together a second trike. Posted by Canis Lupus 03/29/2010 10:40:39 PM What about all the steering components, front wheels, brakes, drivetrain? We can get the ICE parts, but you will need more than just a cruciform. |
