Mike's Power Cruiser

Get your own TerraTrike Cruiser
Ever since we started building trikes people were asking us to install motors. Our Power Cruiser model features a cycle-centric motor system made by BionX. The BionX system features both a throttle and a pedal assist mode. While we do love the BionX system, availability has been very limited.

The PL-350 Battery
The heart of the BionX system is its battery. The PL-350 battery is a high discharge Lithium Ion 36 volt battery. The main computer control hardware is built into the battery's case.

TerraTrike Cruiser Base
The TerraTrike Cruiser makes the perfect base platform for a motorized trike. The Cruiser has a 24-speed drivetrain and a tough chromoly steel frame. We equipped this one with bar-end shifters for both the front and rear gears.

Custom Rack
For the Power Cruiser we've made a custom rack mounting system that we prefer to our earlier fron-frame mounting system. The rack makes it easy to remove the battery for charging or storage, while also providing a good place to hang pannier bags.

Power Console
The Console is where you control the BionX system. You can set various assist modes as well as have full throttle control. The Console monitors battery levels and also functions as a speedometer.

Standard Gearing
The BionX PL-350 system works with the Cruisers standard derailleur gearing. In this case we equipped the BionX with an 8-speed cassette.

Security
The Battery has a locking mechanism to prevent theft.

Mike's Power Cruiser is equipped with Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires and a full fender kit.

This trike has PowerGrip pedals and the SwingGrip light mount.
