Catrike's new trike, the Dash, is the top of the line kid's trike. With an aluminum frame, Avid BB5 brakes, SRAM drive train components, and Schwalbe Kojak tires, this trike will be the envy of all the neighborhood kids!
Frame
The Dash's frame is the same high quality aluminum Catrike uses on all the other Catrike models. The most distinguishing feature about this trike is the smaller frame with the bright new color. The color is very bright and makes the trike more noticeable to cars, which is parent's #1 concern.
Seat
The Dash comes with the stripped utility "muscle" seat mesh, which makes the trike look awesomely fast.
Tires
This trike comes stock with Schwalbe Kojak racing tires, which make the trike roll very smoothly and very fast.
Pedals
The pedals on this trike are platform pedals with toe clips and straps installed to prevent feet slipping off the pedals, causing the rider's legs to hit the crossbar which is extremely painful and can possibly lead to injury. These toe clips also provide the ability to max out the rider's cadence.
Drive Train
The drive train on the Dash features all SRAM components, including the SRAM 4.0 rear derailleur for easy shifting. The cassette in the rear is an all black 8 speed with a range of 11-32, making it a fast, sleek looking drivetrain.
Brakes
The brakes on this trike are Avid BB5 mechanical disk brakes, for great stopping power.
Front Crank
The front crank on the Dash is a 36t single chain ring crankset with 155m crank arms with an integrated guard to protect the chain ring from any "accidents".
