We've been building a lot of trikes lately with the BionX electric system. The BionX PL-350 does more than just turn your trike into a go cart. The BionX system features four levels of assist and regen modes.

The heart of the BionX system is the battery. This 36-volt Lithium Polymer battery also houses the computer controller than manages the speed.

The BionX control controls the assist levels and also functions as the speedometer for the trike.

The control also has the throttle which overrides the assist and lets you ride without pedaling.

The BionX motor is built into the rear wheel. The motor senses the input force for the assist mode.

Do you give up any gears as a result of the width of the hub?

Nope. We have 9-sp cassettes made for the BionX.

Love the bionex can you or have you ever built a quad four wheel dive using duel bionex drive systems?

We would not use the BionX on a Quad, but there are other electric systems.
