Seat Riser Kit for TerraTrikes
The Utah Trikes seat riser kit includes the following: QTY 1 - Seat Riser Block QTY 1 - Extended Seat Stay Rods QTY 2 - Bolt and Nut We have four different types and sizes of the Seat Riser available depending on how high you want the seat to go. We now have a slotted riser for easy adjusting and fine tuning capabilities. The four inch riser will bring the seat to 16 inches. The 2 inch riser brings the seat to 13.5 inches. Please note: Only the 4 inch seat risers come with new stays. All of our seat risers are made from a high grade light weight aluminum, and are TIG welded for sure streangth and stability. Our 4 inch riser will allow you to move the seat forward about 2 inches above the handlebars, which is great for shorter riders. Our 2 inch riser will allow the seat to be moved backwards about 2 inches for the taller riders. Our Seat Riser Kit has been designed to be used specifically for use with the chromoly framed indirect/linkage steering model TerraTrikes. The base of the riser uses the two seat holes found on the chromoly frames. The Seat Riser Kit will work with the aluminum models that use indirect/linkage steering with just a single bolt. Our Seat Riser Kit is NOT compatible with the Zoomer or Edge model TerraTrikes. Note: Our seat riser kit will change the center of gravity and handling characteristics of your trike. For faster riders we do not recommend the seat riser because of the possibility of tipping at high speed.

I want to install one on a Zoomer Posted by jpl75 07/05/2008 08:28:10 PM I shall be happy if such a riser could help me to install a carbon seat on my Zoomer (and then change the whole chain routing) Posted by jpl75 08/06/2008 12:41:38 AM Will this be an add on after the the trike has left the store? Could be installed by user? Posted by ajeshadow 10/07/2008 11:49:24 PM This kit will not work with the Zoomer trikes because the Zoomer models use an integrated frame. what about Catrikes? Posted by ajeshadow 10/31/2008 02:48:57 AM The Catrikes have an integrated seat as part of their frame. The only way to raise the height of the seat on an existing Catrike is to add foam or some sort of padding. If you are looking for a Catrike with a higher seat, the Villager has a height of about 12 inches. Does the riser affect the use of the commuter bag behind the seat? Posted by 28je 11/04/2008 03:23:30 AM You can still use the Commuter bag. Depending on the seat angle you may have to extend the straps, or hook the straps to a lower position. I've installed the 4" riser and the Zoomer handlebar mods on my Cruiser and they work great. The riser makes it easy to get up and down with my arthirtitic back, but left the hand grips half way down my thighs. The Zoomer bar extensions get my hands back up and in a more comfortable position. Posted by Dick Winn 05/20/2009 06:23:49 PM Two questions: (1)Would the seat riser block prevent the use of the linkage steering modification? The blocks in the photos look pretty close to the stock steering plate. (2) Are the quoted new seat heights of 13.5" and 16" for the 2 and 4 inch blocks correct? Most TT models list a 9.5" seat height which would yield 11.5" and 13.5" with the nominal size of the blocks. Also a change from a 2" to a 4" block (4-2=2) apparently yields a 2.5" increase in height (16-13.5=2.5). Posted by Trebuchet F2K 03/18/2010 07:02:31 AM 1. There is enough clearance to use the seat riser and the steering modification. I have had bi-lateral knee replacement. Your 4" riser has helped me to much more easily get on and off the trike. Posted by George 07/27/2010 10:08:41 AM Question. We have a Terra Tandem and my wife would like more view than just the back of my head. Would the riser be a good way to give her a better view? Posted by BJ 09/28/2010 05:52:04 PM Yes, this will raise her up.
