700 Wheel Extensions

Price: $175

NOTE: THESE EXTENSIONS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Raise your gearing and get that "Big Wheel" look. Gary Jacobs has released his custom wheel extensions as a bolt on solution for the WizWheelz TerraTrikes.

As seen on Gary's Custom Cruiser, these extensions will give your trike higher gearing by using a wheel with a larger diameter. Can be used with 26" or 700 wheelz.

Kit includes instructions.

Price does NOT include labor or any additional parts needed to install the extensions.

DISCLAIMER: By using these extensions you may be putting stresses on the trike frame above the original design. By purchasing these extensions you are making this modification at your own risk and you release both Utah Trikes and Gary Jacobs from any liability from any damage to trike or rider that may result from their use.

If you were to mount the extensions to the frame with a single bolt which is allowed to slip, and add an extension bar that wrapped over the frame member about 8" from the joint the extension would also act as a simple suspension system. Add a rubber bushing and you would really have a comfortable ride. And it would also do a better job of distributing the load onto the frame.

Just a thought.

Great idea! could these be modified to work on a Greenspeed GT5? Looking at trying to bump the rear wheel to a 26" along with the front wheels to 20" to keep as close to the original geometry as possible.

These particular ones would not fit the dropouts on a GT5, but similar ones could be machined.

What other things would i have to get besides the wheel. Does this bolt right on with out other mods to the wheel stays. If this works well I wouldn't have to buy a new trike.

Nothing else is needed although I would suggest securing the seat stays with bolts instead of the grenade pins.

Would a 700c wheel fit on a Trice Q26 without any modifications?
