Can this clamp be easly modified to use on a 2004 Road model catrike? I notice it is "keyed' for a slot that mine does not have. Mine has the smooth boom.

Yes, you can retrofit your frame to fit the new boom.

Is it a simple notch in the frame to accomodate the clamp? It appears in this picture the boom needs a slot to accomodate the clamp.
